IEEE-1394b, or FireWire 800, is the latest in FireWire technology; with data transfer speeds up to 800Mbps, which is twice the speed of original FireWire. This 9-pin to 9-pin cable connects 9-pin IEEE 1394b devices, such as external disk drives, to a computer with IEEE 1394b 9-pin port.
