Spelt is a shiny, reddish brown grain that is an ancient relative of wheat. When cooked, spelt has a firm, chewy texture and a sweet, nutty flavor. It has more protein than wheat, and is also high in heart-healthy niacin.

Basic Preparation- Add 1 cup Spelt to 2-1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 35 minutes. Drain excess water.
Storage & Handling- Store in a dry, cool place.
