4-Wire Interface with Call Signal, Matrix-to-Party-lineThe EF-701M interface converts a single channel of standard or TW party-line intercom to four-wire audio, while also converting call signals to RS-422 data (and back). The resulting four-wire audio plus RS-422 data can then be sent to a Clear-Com Matrix port, fiber-optic converter (modem) or connected to another EF-701M over twisted-pair cable such as CAT-5E.The EF-701M 4-Wire and Matrix Direct Interface is a flexible and powerful tool for connecting 2-wire intercom systems or stations together over various 4-wire transmission media. The EF-701M Interface can also connect a 2-wire intercom system directly to a Clear-Com Matrix frame port.THE CLEAR-COM CONCEPTClear-Com is a closed-circuit intercom system that consistently provides high-clarity communication in high-noise and low-noise environments. A basic system consists of a single- or multi-channel power supply or main station connected to various single- or multi-channel remote stations, such as beltpacks and loudspeaker stations.
