IMP-8M8F is part of Ward-Beck's IMP-16 series of high density Rack Mount Impedance converter panels. It allows 75 Ohm coaxial transmission of AES/EBU digital audio signals. Eight Conversion transformers change a balanced 110 Ohm signal on XLR to an unbalanced 75 Ohm signal on a BNC type connector, and eight change an unbalanced 75 Ohm signal on a BNC type connector into a balanced 110 Ohm signal on an XLR type connector. The IMP-8M8F is a conveniently d 1 Rack Unit high panel that features eight3 pin male, and eight 3 pin female XLR connectors on one side, and sixteen BNC coaxial type connectors on the opposite side.
