This particular product is a replacement pre-filter blanket designed to fit Carrier whole house HEPA air purifier model P102-550. It uses activated carbon, which is charcoal treated with oxygen, to trap large airborne particles like dust, pet dander, pollen, and mold spores. Because this filter contains millions of tiny pores, it also absorbs tiny odor particles, helping to reduce common household odors like kitchen odors, bathroom odors, tobacco odors, etc. This pre-filter should be replaced every 3 months for optimum performance.
