Product Description

Many 6.0L diesels can experience a hard start or no start problem which could be the result of a variety of causes. This commonly includes a faulty Injector Pressure Regulator. The 6764 permits a quick and affordable diagnosis of this component which will save time by validating, or eliminating the IPR as the source of the problem. The tool closes the IPR which should support a sustained pressure. If pressure is not sustained, then the IPR is the probable fault.

  • Bi-directional Switching Tool for Ford 6.0L Diesel Injector Pressure Regulators (IPR).
  • In order to perform accurate pressure testing, the Injector Pressure Regulator must be closed in order to read fuel pressure via your aftermarket scan tool.
  • Allows a technician to close the Injector Pressure Regulator in order to determine if proper injector control pressure is achieved and sustained for the starting process.
